Three well camouflaged nests (fig.) of Weaver Ants high up in a treetop in Phrae province. Inside are plenty of khai mot daeng (fig.), the edible larva or ‘eggs’ of the red ants.

 

This tree, in the central eastern Thai province of Kanchanaburi, is literally infested with Weaver Ants' nests.
