Male Common Mormons, are swallow-tailed and mainly black, with a series of white spots on the forewings that decrease in size towards the apex, and a complete band of elongated white spots on the upper side of the hindwing.

In addition, the male has a series of white spots on the hindwing's edge, alternating with the main black ground colour, and its body is black with some white spots. The male in this picture was spotted in Rangoon, the one above in Buriram.
