The plants in the first two photos are of the variety Mentha cordifolia, with purplish-brown stems, and commonly known as marsh mint and kitchen mint.

 

This aromatic herb is in Thai referred to by the umbrella name saranae and is often homegrown, as it is widely used in Thai cooking. Yet, it is also available on most fresh markets.

The variety in the bottom picture is of the genus Melissa officinalis, with green stems and commonly known as lemon balm or balm mint.
