  making seua mo hom dye

Thailand

Dye used to colour seua mo hom is acquired from a plant with the Latin botanical designation Indigofera tinctoria (fig.), known in Thai as krahm, by soaking it in water.

This gives a blue solution which is mixed with chalk and left to soak for two days and nights, after which it can be used as a natural dye.
