The ‘Hall of Great Strength’ at the Man Fatt Lam Temple in Singapore houses a Buddha statue seated in the lotus position, in a blessing pose, and underneath a giant lotus attached to the ceiling.

 

The Amitabha Hall’, in the right front of the main hall, houses a statue of Amitabha (fig.), i.e. one of the five transcendental Buddhas or Five Great Buddhas of Mahayana Buddhism, who reigns over the Western Paradise and who is the personification of Eternal Light.

To the opposite of this, the ‘Hall of Good Fortune’, houses a marble Burmese-style reclining Buddha statue, whilst the walls are covered with countless semi-translucent blue tablets with depictions of Buddha.
