The number 20 with in the zero the emblem of ASEAN, referring to the association's 20th Anniversary. Behind it are six cords, each with a flag of one of the 6 member nations, and at the bottom twisted and tied together in a spiral to form a much bigger rope, pointing to its goal, i.e. to be stronger together, while representing its unity and firm cooperation. The flags of the member states are (clockwise from the left to right): Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.
