Representations of different airplanes used by Thai Airways International, as well as the company emblem, i.e. a stylized Champak (jampah) flower, while in the background are the outlines of certain scenes printed in purple, i.e. the main colour of Thai Airways International: 1. a Douglas DC-6 and a DC-8, with in the background traditional Thai ways of life and festivals, such as the wai, riding a buffalo and Loi Krathong; 2. a Douglas DC-10, with in the background scenes of traditional Thai culture, such as Thai classical dance called khon; 3. an Airbus A300, with in the background national architecture and paraphernalia, such as the Golden Swan Barge, the King's personal barge known in Thai as Reua Phra Thihnang Suphanahong, pagodas and multi-layered parasols, called chedi and chat, respectively; 4. a Boeing 747, with in the background important landmarks in destination to which Thai Airways flies.
