  Sri Verama Kaliamman Temple

The Sri Verama Kaliamman Temple in Bago is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Bhadrakali (fig.), a daughter of Shiva (fig.) whom he created from his third eye and subdued the asura Daruka (fig.).

 

On the temple's courtyard is a sals-like shrine with the nine images positioned in a square three by three, each faces a certain direction according to the Phra prajam wan system in Hinduism (fig.).
