		Buddha 
	Pond is a shrine at the foot of
	Bandai It Mountain in 
	
			Phetchaburi. 
	The place of worship consists of structure with a 
	
		
		Buddha image 
	seated in the 
	
	vitarka 
	pose, with in the front a square fenced 
	platform with a large concrete 
		      
		      
		      alms bowl. 
	The brick stairway on the right leads to a platform with one large and a few 
	smaller 
			stupas, and 
	is part of 
					
					
					
					
					Wat Khao Bandai It, 
	i.e. the 
			‘Mountain Temple of the Brick 
	Staircase’. It was inaugurated on 9 August 1987 in the presence of King 
	
			      
			      Rama IX.
