Chao Ngo in the story of Sangthong is in fact Prince Phra Sang himself (fig.) disguised as an ugly ogre of the Ngo tribe, hiding his golden body underneath this black (fig.) complexion and curly hair. To refer to the Prince's status, the name bears the title Chao.
