Wat Samaan Rattanaraam in Chachengsao has a collection of giantic statues and objects from Thai, Indian and Chinese belief and myth, such as these two huge naga, protectors of the earthly waters (fig.).

 

A giant krathong-like (fig.) lotus flower serves as a shrine for Buddhist relics and floats on the adjacent Bang Pakong River (fig.), near where it temporarily splits and forms an island. It is visible from the air (fig.).

Besides the nation's largest statue of Rahu (fig.) and the world's largest statue of Ganesha in a reclining pose (fig.), it also features this big statue of Indra seated on Erawan.
