 Subject:

Portrait of King Wachirawut in an oval white frame against a dark orange background decorated with golden kanok motifs. The orange corresponds to the colour of Thursday according to the sih prajam wan-system, i.e. the birthday of King Rama VI. On the white oval frame, printed in black, is −on the right side− the text: King Vajiravudh's Centennial Anniversary; and in Thai −on the left side− an equivalent of this text, i.e.: Phra Boromma Racha Somphop Krob 100 Pih (พระบรมราชสมภพ ครบ ๑๐๐ ปี), as well as the date 1 January  2524 BE ( มกราคม ๒๕๒๔). At the bottom of the white frame is a golden vajra, i.e. the symbol of this King that also refers to his name, which literally means ‘Armed with a Vajra’. At the top of the oval frame, above the portrait, is the Phra Maha Phichai Mongkut, i.e. the Great Crown of Victory, a golden chadah-like crown (fig.), that belongs to the Royal Regalia called kakuthaphan in Thai.
