  Kuthodaw Pagoda

The Kuthodaw Pagoda, located at the foot of Mandalay Hill, houses the world's largest book, i.e. a version of the Tipitaka.

 

It was created by King Mindon Min (fig.) and consists of 729 separate marble steles (fig.), that are housed in equally as many freestanding stupas.
