  Maha Dhammarachathiraat (Sanphet I)

Statue of Mahadhammaracha, i.e. a title bestowed upon King Sanphet I, who is also known as Maha Dhammarachathiraat. He was Lord of Phitsanulok and later in life a king of Ayutthaya, of the House of Sukhothai, who ruled for 21 years, from 1569 to 1590 AD. He was married to Queen Wisutikasat (fig.), with whom he had three children, i.e. King Naresuan (fig.) and King Ekathotsarot (fig.), and Princess Suphankanlaya (fig.), who became Queen Consort of King Bayinnaung (fig.) of Burma.
