  Pindola with kilen-like creature

Sometimes, the arahat Pindola, who is incorporated as the 17th or 18th member of the Eighteen Arahats, is depicted with a kilen-like creature on his side, i.e. an animal of Chinese mythology, with the head of a dragon and a scaled body (fig.), rather than in his more common pose, i.e. seated on a tiger (fig.).
