The purple colour of the background is to honour Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, who in 2015 celebrated her 5th Cycle Birthday Anniversary. The colour purple represents the Princess' birthday on a Saturday, which according to the traditional sih prajam wan system corresponds to the colour purple. Each stamp also has the logo of Thaipex '15.
