  Yatti Wajah Sangkhakam

Thailand

Yatti Wajah Sangkhakam is a formal procedural act prescribed in the Theravada Vinaya for the legitimate execution of monastic decisions by the Sangha. Its abbreviation Y. W. S. (ญวส) is sometimes inscribed on objects or buildings to signify that they, or the compound they are located on, have been formally sanctioned through the appropriate Sangha act, such as here at Wat Phu Man Fah in Buriram (fig.).
