A durian tree in Cu Chi, southern Vietnam, bearing its heavy spiky fruit. Depending on the species, the durian tree can grow up to 40 meters tall.

There are reportedly around thirty species of durian tree that belong to the genus Durio, of which at least nine produce edible fruits.
