  plong phom naak (hair)

During the plong phom naak ritual the hair of the naga, i.e. the candidate monk, is shaved off (fig.) and typically collected in a lotus leaf. From then on, the shaving of the head will be repeated once every month during wan kohn (fig.), for as long as the person remains ordained.
