Shaman priests and Karen hill tribe people perform a ritual to consecrate a new spirit house, in which the lead shaman blows an animal horn and the other carries a circular talaew (fig.) over his shoulder, whilst waking in a circle ceremonially, akin to a thaksinahwat (fig.).

 

The other participants carry offerings, such as flower arrangements known as bai sri (fig.), vegetables, fruit, liquor, and elephant hooks called kho chang  (fig.).
