PROVINCIAL ESCUTCHEON

Nakhon Nayok

The escutcheon of Nakhon Nayok shows an elephant holding a bunch of rice ears in its trunk and in the background two haystacks. This refers to the fertile land, and that this province at the time used to have many elephants and was a  passage (crossing) for herds of wild elephant. There was before an important elephant kraal.
