 Subject: New Year celebrations with fireworks in the four regions of Thailand, with drawings of some of their local legendary landmarks: 1. the Central Region, with some iconic structures in the capital Bangkok, such as the Sky Train, officially known as the Bangkok Mass Transit System (fig.), several skyscrapers, including the Maha Nakhon Building (fig.), Wat Arun (fig.), the Bangkok Ferris Wheel (fig.) at the Asiatique (fig.) Night Bazaar, and Icon Siam (fig.); 2. the Southern Region, with the Promthep Clock Tower and some shop houses in the old town of Phuket, palm trees along the sea shore and a traditional southern reua hua thohng boat; 3. the Northeastern Region also known as Isaan, with depictions of the Huai Bong wind turbines and Chumphon Gate (fig.) in Nakhon Ratchasima, Ho Woht 101 or the Roi Et Tower (fig.) in Roi Et, the dairy cows at Chokchai Farm, the sunflower of Rai Manih Son sunflower field in Khao Yai, and the Yellow Ducks (fig.) floating on the lake at Nong Prajak Park (fig.) in Udonthani; 4. the Northern Region, with depictions of Tha Phae Gate (fig.) in Chiang Mai, the golden chedi of Wat Doi Suthep (fig.), and the city's iconic red songthaew.
