  Saivite sadhu

A Saivite sadhu with on his forehead a tri-pundra, the sectarian mark that consists of three horizontal lines and which is worn by followers of the Hindu god Shiva (fig.).

 

In addition, this Saivite is holding a trident, a weapon and an attribute of Shiva known as a trisula.
