Thailand

Nahm ob is a fragrant water made from Thai herbs and flowers. It has a sweet and gentle scent and is commonly used to freshen up spaces or create a refreshing atmosphere, such as during festivals like in water used in the Songkraan festival, as shown here sold together with a small bucket to toss water and some small rosette-like swirls or rocks called paeng dinsoh phong (fig.), which when dissolved in water become a cream-like substance that that is smeared on people's faces to celebrate the Thai new year (fig.).
